Actions

• From the list, preview pictures using a light press and press a little deeper to open the picture. (Requires an iPhone 6s with 3D Touch)

All astronomy images, videos and descriptions in Beautiful Universe are provided by NASAs Astronomy Picture Of the Day (APOD). APOD was created in 1995 by Robert Nemiroff and Jerry Bonnell who continue to select the entries and write and edit the captions. The APOD archive contains the largest collection of annotated astronomical images on the internet. APOD is a service of the Astrophysics Science Division at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center and Michigan Technological University.
